Outreach Programs

Our congregation partners with other churches in town to support the Whitehouse Food Pantry, also known as the Philadelphia Blessing. If you’d like to help organize the pantry and give out food to families in need, we send groups over every Monday and Thursday morning (the only days the Pantry is open). We also have an ongoing food collection in our Welcome Center – just leave any nonperishable food items you’d like to donate in the Food Pantry box. If you’d like to give financially to the food bank, you can designate a gift by writing a check with “Philadelphia Blessing” in the memo line, or by choosing that option when you donate through our giving page.

Whitehouse UMC hosts the Quilts For Kids ministry. This group, which meets Tuesday mornings beginning at 9 a.m., makes beautiful quilts that get sent to local hospitals and foster agencies, with a prayer that the quilt would be a reminder of God’s love to a child in need. Anyone is welcome to join!

Filled with individuals that enjoy being a good steward of what God has provided, these men meet every Wednesday at the Donut Shop in Whitehouse, then go to the church to take care of maintenance.
